Hãy thành thật: bạn đang giao những bài tập nào?
- Áp dụng ba nguyên tắc thiết kế: authenticity, iteration, pedagogical transparency
- Thiết kế bài tập theo ba loại: outcome-based, process-based, reflection-based
- Quản lý volume tăng của AI-enhanced student work mà không kiệt sức giáo viên
- Kết hợp đa dạng assignment components để develop đầy đủ 4Ds
- Giữ pedagogical transparency — giao tiếp rõ với sinh viên về "đang đánh giá cái gì"
Mở đầu: Tại sao bài tập cũ không còn work?
- AuthenticityGiống real-world AI collaboration
- IterationBuild growth over time, không phải single-shot
- Pedagogical transparencySinh viên biết rõ bạn đang đánh giá gì
Bài này cho bạn blueprint thực hành.
Ba nguyên tắc thiết kế
Nguyên tắc 1: Authenticity — Giống thực tế
Ý tưởng: Tạo assignments mirror real-world AI collaboration thay vì artificial exercises.
Sinh viên nên tackle genuine problems nơi AI partnership thật sự add value. Không phải "làm cho có" exercise AI.
Authentic trông thế nào:
✅ AUTHENTIC
"Em là intern tại NGO. NGO cần policy brief
cho city council về quy định xe điện. Deadline
2 tuần. Dùng AI là okay — nhưng em chịu trách
nhiệm final product."
❌ KHÔNG AUTHENTIC
"Viết 5 prompt hay cho ChatGPT về topic bất kỳ."
Authentic assignment khiến sinh viên care về output — vì nó feel real, có stakeholder thật, có consequences.
Nguyên tắc 2: Iteration — Xây opportunities for growth
Ý tưởng: Build opportunities for refinement that showcase growth theo thời gian.
Single-shot assignments miss iterative nature của fluent AI collaboration. Build in chances để sinh viên refine, rethink, try again.
Iteration trong assignment design:
- Checkpoint 1 (tuần 1): Submit initial approach + delegation plan
- Feedback loop: Teacher/peer feedback
- Checkpoint 2 (tuần 2): Revised approach with reflection on feedback
- Checkpoint 3 (tuần 3): Final submission + evolution documentation
Lý do deeper: Cộng tác AI tốt đòi hỏi iteration.
Sinh viên cần hiểu bạn care về HOW they're learning to work với AI, không chỉ WHAT they produce.
Pedagogical transparency trông thế nào:
Trên assignment sheet:
Tôi đánh giá bài này ở 3 dimensions: 1. Final product quality (40%) 2. Evidence of AI collaboration process (30%) 3. Reflection trên your own learning (30%) Em phải nộp: (a) final product, (b) annotated chat log, (c) 1-page reflection.
Loại 1: Outcome-based assignments
Focus: Những gì sinh viên produce qua cộng tác AI.
Variant A: Improving AI outputs
Setup: Đưa sinh viên 1 output AI mediocre (bạn đã generate trước). Yêu cầu họ transform thành excellent.
Skills phát triển:
- Discernment (identify problems trong AI output)
- Description (guide improvements qua clearer prompts)
Đưa output adequate but flat — nơi discernment mới tinh tế.
Variant B: Product comparison
Setup: Sinh viên dùng multiple AI systems hoặc modes (extended thinking, image-to-image) tackle cùng task, rồi analyze different outputs.
Skills phát triển:
- Platform awareness (Delegation)
- Discernment (so sánh qualitative)
Variant C: Constraint-based challenges
- Setup
- Đưa specific output requirements — format, length, style, audience. Sinh viên work với AI meet các constraints.
- Submit
- Final product + prompts đã achieve output.
Skills phát triển:
- Description (precise communication)
- Creation diligence (nếu bạn add ethical/legal/professional constraints)
Ví dụ:
Bài tập lớp Technical Writing:
Tạo product description cho smartwatch. Constraints: (1) 150 từ chính xác, (2) flesch reading ease ≥ 60 (giúp người dễ đọc), (3) mention battery life + heart rate + price, (4) tone "confident but not pushy", (5) include 1 CTA.
Variant D: Peer product review
Setup: Sinh viên set own goals, create với AI, rồi swap và critique against stated goals.
Skills phát triển:
- Product discernment
- Goal awareness (Delegation)
Ví dụ:
Bài tập lớp Creative Writing:
Week 1: Mỗi em viết goal statement 100 từ cho short story (genre, tone, themes, target effect). Work với AI draft story 1000 từ. Week 2: Swap với partner. Read partner's goal statement FIRST. Then evaluate: story có meet stated goals không? 500-word critique.
Pro tip: Peer review reveals blind spots. Sinh viên often miss gap giữa goals stated và execution actually.
Loại 2: Process-based assignments
Làm sao make visible và assessable?
Variant A: Annotated chat logs
Setup: Sinh viên nộp records của AI interactions, annotating key moments of insight, challenge, growth.
Sinh viên highlight:
- Turning points — chỗ approach thay đổi
- Breakthroughs — chỗ understanding của chính mình deepened
- Recovery moments — chỗ em catch mistake và pivot
Format gợi ý:
Chat Log: [Date, Project X]
Turn 1-3: Initial exchange
[Chat content]
Annotation: Bắt đầu với prompt quá vague. AI trả lời generic. Nhận ra mình chưa define audience.
Turn 4-6: Refinement
[Chat content]
Annotation: 🔑 TURNING POINT — em add audience specificity. AI output sharper rõ rệt. Lesson: front-load context.
### Variant B: Recorded narrations
**Setup:** Sinh viên **record** themselves work với AI real-time — audio hoặc screen capture — **narrating decision-making** as they go.
**Họ explain:**
- Tại sao họ make specific choices
- Cái gì họ look for trong responses
- Cách họ evaluate outputs
**Thời lượng:** 5-10 phút / session.
**Ví dụ:**
> *"Record 10-phút screen-cast em work với Claude trên Research Proposal. Narrate: (1) prompting strategy, (2) reactions tới each output, (3) decision points (pivot, refine, accept), (4) 1 tự-critique moment."*
**Pro tip:** Think-aloud reveals **tacit reasoning** mà chat log miss. Nhưng đòi hỏi khả năng tự nhận thức cao — không phù hợp mọi sinh viên. Offer alternatives cho introverts.
### Variant C: Process playbooks
**Setup:** Sinh viên build **own AI strategy guides** — personal reference documents recording strategies và prompts cho different types of tasks.
**Nội dung:**
- Cái gì works cho research, creative writing, problem solving
- Techniques nào work trong contexts nào
- Đi đâu cho help khi cần guidance
**Output:** Living document sinh viên keep và update suốt course.
**Format gợi ý:**
Last updated: [Date]
Task Category 1: Literature Review
Preferred AI: Claude (long context) + Perplexity (citations) Starter prompt template: [...] Iteration pattern: [...] Pitfalls encountered: [...]
Task Category 2: Essay Brainstorming
[...]
Alternatively, với peer as discussant. Hoặc both để compare insights.
**Mẫu prompt cho debrief:**
Here is my chat log from project [X]. Analyze as a thoughtful reviewer would:
- What worked well in my collaboration approach?
- Where did I miss opportunities for deeper engagement?
- What patterns do you see across my prompts?
- If I could redo this, what 2 changes would have highest impact?
---
Loại 3: Reflection-based assignments
Focus: Metacognitive awareness — tư duy về tư duy.
- Thách thức
- Học sinh dễ bị "reflection fatigue" nếu cùng format lặp lại.
- Giải pháp
- Đa dạng variants. Đưa 2-3 reflection formats khác nhau trong 1 semester.
Variant A: Guided inquiry
Make it inviting — sinh viên feel free share honest critiques, complaints, positive experiences.
- Em sẽ dùng AI differently next time thế nào?
Pro tip: Câu hỏi "em ghét cái gì" cho phép sinh viên honest. Quan trọng để build trust.
Variant B: Learning journals
Setup: Sinh viên self-assess 4D development ở multiple points trong course. Cung cấp specific evidence cho observations.
Multiple modes encouraged:
- Traditional essays
- Videos
- Infographics
- Mind maps
- Audio diaries
Ví dụ framework:
Mỗi 2 tuần, nộp journal entry 500-800 từ (hoặc 5-phút video) reflecting on: - 1 highlight từ 2 tuần qua (với specific evidence) - 1 struggle - D nào em cảm thấy growing nhất? - 1 question em có về next phase of course
Pro tip: Multiple modes = reach different learners. Không bắt mọi người chỉ essays. Videos reveal expressiveness mà writing hides.
Variant C: Scenarios và case studies
Setup: Present sinh viên với realistic hypothetical scenarios hoặc real-world case studies. Challenge apply learnings tới specific issues trong AI design, use, impacts.
Có thể đơn giản:
Your new boss wants em dùng AI for hiring decisions. What's your advice hoặc approach?
Hoặc phức tạp:
Case study: Company X dùng AI screen resumes, later phát hiện AI systematically disadvantaged applicants từ certain zip codes. What failed in their 4D process?
Variant D: Personal policy statements
Setup: Nếu chỉ room cho 1 reflective assignment, highly recommend personal policy statements.
Sinh viên create personal policy statement based on experiences — develop own values, strategies, methods cho fluent AI collaboration.
Characteristics:
- Require deep reflection
Based on everything em learned this course, write 2000-word Personal AI Collaboration Policy. Include: - Your values when working với AI (3-5) - Situations em will vs. won't use AI - How em ensure transparency và accountability - How em will continue developing AI fluency post-course - 1 commitment về ethical use going forward Peer-discuss policy với 1 classmate. Exchange feedback. Revise.
Pro tip: Policy statements có long half-life. Sinh viên reference lại 5 năm sau. Chấm kỹ, give thoughtful feedback.
Combining multiple assignment types
Thực tế, 1 assignment hiệu quả thường combine multiple types. Ví dụ:
Assignment: "AI-Enhanced Research Project" (3 tuần)
| Component | Type | Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| Literature review synthesized với AI | Outcome | Final 2000-word review |
| Chat log documenting research process | Process | Annotated chat + 200-word commentary |
| Reflection on Delegation + Diligence | Reflection | 500-word essay |
Managing volume — "Time to get real"
Làm sao survive mà không burn out?
Chiến thuật 1: Detailed deliverable-based rubrics
Ý tưởng: Clear, very granular deliverables em có thể verify quickly.
Ví dụ rubric granular:
| Deliverable | Check | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Final essay nộp đúng format? | Y/N | 5 |
| Chat log có ≥10 turns? | Y/N | 5 |
| Annotation có highlight ≥3 turning points? | Y/N | 10 |
| Diligence statement có 5 required sections? | Y/N | 10 |
| Reflection có ≥1 concrete example mỗi claim? | Y/N | 15 |
| [...etc] |
Trade-off: Cần tight alignment giữa chosen deliverables và learning outcomes. Nhưng có thể save hours.
Chiến thuật 2: Emphasize self và peer review
Ý tưởng: With proper guidance, sinh viên often best positioned observe own development hoặc of peers.
Self-assessment template:
Self-Assessment Form — [Assignment Name]
Before submitting, I score my own work:
- Delegation: emerging / developing / proficient / advanced
- Description: e / d / p / a
- Discernment: e / d / p / a
- Diligence: e / d / p / a
Evidence for each score (2-3 sentences each):
- Delegation evidence: [...]
- [...]
- One area I want feedback on
- [...]
- My score prediction from teacher
- [...]
**Pro tip:** Compare self-score với teacher-score. Alignment = metacognitive accuracy signal.
**Peer review structure:**
- Pair sinh viên
- Mỗi người review peer's chat log + reflection (KHÔNG final essay — tránh bias về writing quality)
- Use shared rubric (2-3 criteria only — don't overwhelm)
- Submit peer feedback + own response to peer feedback
### Chiến thuật 3: Lightning conferences
**Ý tưởng:** Replace some written feedback với **brief conferences** (5 phút) where sinh viên present key insights.
**Format:**
- 5 phút / student
- Student start: "Here's my 1 biggest insight from this assignment"
- Teacher: 1 question, 1 affirmation, 1 challenge
- Student: write down 2-min followup action
**Math:** 30 sinh viên × 5 phút = 2.5 giờ. Thay vì viết feedback 15-20 giờ. And quality thường **better** — real dialogue > written comment.
**Pro tip:** Schedule conferences **in class time** — không phải office hours optional. Commit to it.
**Strategies:**
- Students **self-flag** key moments ("Here are the 3 turns em most proud của")
- Teacher **samples** — read full 20%, skim 80%
- Students **curate** top 3 turns với annotations — thay vì nộp toàn bộ chat log
**Teaching students self-curate:**
> *"Pick 3 turns from chat log thể hiện best: Discernment, Description improvement, Recovery moment. Annotate mỗi cái 2-3 sentences about WHY chose it. Nộp curated selection."*
Benefit kép: (1) giảm volume cho teacher, (2) sinh viên practice self-evaluation.

Prompt mẫu: Thiết kế assignment với AI partner
2. Select components phù hợp
Review các assignment components discussed trong bài 13.4:
- Outcome-based: improving outputs, product comparison, constraint-
based, peer product review
- Process-based: annotated chat logs, recorded narrations, process
playbooks, peer debrief
- Reflection-based: guided inquiry, learning journals, scenarios,
personal policy statements
Ensure workload
manageable cho cả sinh viên và tôi.
3. Build authenticity
Assignment hiện tại của tôi: [brief description]. Tôi muốn make nó
more "authentic" — mirror real-world AI collaboration trong [ngành].
Suggest: (1) realistic stakeholder tôi có thể fake into brief, (2)
world consequences I can reference for motivation.
4. Design iteration structure
Assignment của tôi 3 tuần. Suggest checkpoint structure:
- Checkpoint 1 (end week 1): submit gì? evaluate gì?
- Checkpoint 2 (end week 2): submit gì? evaluate gì?
- Final (end week 3): submit gì? evaluate gì?
Mỗi checkpoint cần: clear deliverable, feedback opportunity,
chance for students to course-correct. Volume reasonable for cả
students và grader.
5. Write transparent instructions
Draft assignment instructions specific but not overwhelming. Include:
- Clear statements về "tôi assessing gì" (process + reflection, not
just output)
- Deliverables, formats, submission requirements
- Connect explicitly tới AI Fluency development (which Ds, why)
- 1-2 common pitfalls và how to avoid
Target length: 500-800 words. Tone: inviting + clear.
6. Volume management plan
Assignment expected: 30 students × [N deliverables]. Help me plan:
- Elements I grade IN DETAIL (deep review): which?
- Elements I review QUICKLY (skim + spot-check): which?
- Peer-review elements: which?
- Self-assessment components: which?
- Sampling strategy for labor-intensive components (e.g., chat logs)?
Target grading time budget: [X] hours total. Realistic?
7. Reflection prompt diversity
Generate 15 reflection prompts diverse enough dùng suốt 10-week
course (2 reflections / week). Variety axes:
- Stance (looking back vs. projecting forward)
- Focus (technical vs. ethical vs. emotional)
- Format (essay, bullet list, metaphor, dialogue)
- Prompt style (direct question vs. scenario vs. "complete the sentence")
Prevent reflection fatigue.
8. Managing student anxiety about AI assignments
Draft 500-word "AI Use Policy for This Course" statement addressing
these concerns: transparent, reassuring, clear boundaries. Include:
what IS cheating, what is NOT, expected transparency, support
available.
Anti-patterns — Sai lầm khi thiết kế AI assignments
Ban AI entirely + enforce with proctored exam
- Tại sao là sai
- Không dạy AI Fluency. Sinh viên vẫn dùng AI outside class → deception dynamic.
- Cách đúng
- Design AI-inclusive assignments. Teach students use AI well.
Allow AI without structure
- Biểu hiện
- "Dùng AI tùy ý, nộp bài cuối."
- Tại sao là sai
- No learning of collaboration skills. Sinh viên tối ưu cho shortest path.
- Cách đúng
- Require process evidence + reflection. Structure the use.
Single-shot assignment với AI
- Biểu hiện
- "Viết essay dùng AI. Nộp 1 lần."
- Tại sao là sai
- Miss iteration — core của AI collaboration.
- Cách đúng
- Multi-checkpoint structure với feedback loops.
Hide evaluation criteria
- Biểu hiện
- "Tôi chấm dựa vào quality. Em sẽ hiểu khi thấy điểm."
- Tại sao là sai
- Students không biết what to optimize. Unfair.
- Cách đúng
- Published rubric + pedagogical transparency.
Over-assign reflection
- Biểu hiện
- 3 reflections mỗi tuần, cùng format.
- Tại sao là sai
- Reflection fatigue. Quality plummets.
- Cách đúng
- 1 reflection / week OR biweekly, with format variety.
Grade AI response quality as student quality
- Biểu hiện
- "Claude trả lời thông minh → student điểm cao."
- Tại sao là sai
- Em đang grade AI, not student.
- Cách đúng
- Grade student's discernment, description refinement, diligence — not AI output sophistication.
Require AI tool cụ thể
- Biểu hiện
- "Must use Claude for this assignment."
- Tại sao là sai
- Lock-in; miss Platform awareness learning.
- Cách đúng
- Allow choice. Require justification ("Why did you choose this AI?"). Different students may make different valid choices.
Ignore digital divide
- Biểu hiện
- Assignment assumes AI paid tier, fast internet, latest hardware.
- Tại sao là sai
- Unfair cho sinh viên resources limited.
- Cách đúng
- Design for free tier. Provide institutional AI access if possible. Acknowledge gap và work around.
"Reflection theater" — sinh viên viết những gì bạn muốn nghe
- Biểu hiện
- Reflection đầy clichés: "I learned a lot", "AI is really helpful but also has limitations".
- Tại sao là sai
- No real learning captured. Just performance.
- Cách đúng
- Reflection prompts SPECIFIC ("give 1 concrete example of a moment you reversed your approach mid-conversation"). Reward specificity + honesty over polish.
Mẹo nâng cao
Mẹo 1: "AI diary" as low-stakes reflection
Daily 5-minute journal entry (không grade): "1 thing I learned from AI today. 1 thing AI got wrong. 1 thing I want to try tomorrow." Build reflective habit without burden.
Mẹo 2: Model vulnerability
Share 1 chat log of YOUR OWN — including the part where AI misunderstood you. Students see iteration và imperfection normal.
Mẹo 3: "Ethics auction" — quirky but effective
Give sinh viên hypothetical scenarios. Each votes which is "most problematic" AI use. Discuss disagreements. Surface tacit ethics.
Mẹo 4: Public showcase culture
End of semester: sinh viên present "my AI collaboration growth" to peers + invited external guest (industry person, colleague). Stakes raise quality.
Mẹo 5: Course-long "AI relationship" essay
Semester-long project: each sinh viên document their evolving relationship với AI. Final: 5000-word meta-essay. Deep, transformative.
- Ensure assignment mirrors real-world AI collaboration trong field em, build in genuine problems nơi AI partnership thật adds value
Step 2: Building in Iteration and Growth (10 phút)
- Design support structures cho sinh viên struggle with reflection
Step 3: Implementation Planning (10 phút)
Finalize practical details:
- Work với AI draft assignment instructions specific but not overwhelming
- Include clear statements về "đang assessing gì" (process + reflection, not just output)
- Specify deliverables, formats, submission requirements
- Connect assignment explicitly tới AI Fluency development
- Thảo luận với AI cách keep grading manageable, including:
- · Elements em assess detail vs. review quickly
- · Peer review components add value without adding burden
- · Cách dùng sampling hoặc conferences thay extensive written feedback
Ghi lại kết quả:
- Assignment name: ___________
- 3 deliverables sinh viên nộp: ___________
- Iteration structure (checkpoints): ___________
- Volume management strategy cụ thể: ___________
- 1 concern chính: ___________
Reflection
- Outcome assignments are most straightforward — Key to assessing Description và Discernment.
- Process assignments make invisible visible — Chat logs, narrations, playbooks turn private thinking into shareable artifact.
- Reflection assignments need variety — Same format 3 weeks in a row = fatigue. Mix modes, stances, formats.
- Plan ahead for volume — Rubrics granular, self/peer review, lightning conferences, selective sampling. Design grading in FROM THE START.
