Mở đầu: Khi bạn là "middleware" giữa Claude và tools

• Mở Slack, copy 1 message từ team, paste sang Claude để hỏi "tóm lại ý gì"
• Mở Gmail, copy email dài, paste sang Claude để reply
• Export CSV từ CRM, save local, upload vào Claude để analyze
• Take screenshot của Jira ticket, upload Claude để hỏi about context
• Download PDF từ Google Drive, upload Claude, rồi xóa local copy

Mỗi hành động: 5-30 giây. Làm 20-30 lần/ngày = 10-15 phút "chuyển nhiên liệu" giữa tools và AI.

Bạn đang làm middleware — người mang data qua lại. Cái giá: thời gian trực tiếp. Cái giá ẩn: cognitive load — bạn phải nhớ pull data gì, lúc nào, từ đâu.

Và không chỉ data vào Claude. Khi Claude generate output — bạn cũng phải mang ra: copy response → paste vào Word, save Excel download → upload Google Drive, copy meeting notes → paste Slack.

Connectors cắt đứt middleware layer này. Bạn connect Claude với tools bạn đã dùng → Claude access trực tiếp. Đọc mà không cần bạn paste. Write mà không cần bạn copy. Performance actions — update CRM, send Slack message, create Jira ticket — trực tiếp.

Đây là moment Claude từ "AI bạn chat với" trở thành "AI làm việc trong stack của bạn".

Connectors là gì?

Connector = bridge giữa Claude và một external tool (Google Drive, Slack, Notion, Gmail, Jira, Salesforce, v.v.).

Connector cho phép Claude:

• Read data — search files, retrieve documents, check messages, query records
• Perform actions — create tasks, update records, send messages, modify data

Tùy connector và permissions bạn grant, Claude có thể:

Model Context Protocol (MCP) — "USB-C cho AI"

Connectors không phải hack. Chúng dựa trên một open standard gọi là Model Context Protocol (MCP).

MCP là gì?

MCP là một universal standard cho phép AI connect với nhiều applications qua một interface consistent.

Think USB-C. Trước USB-C, mỗi thiết bị có plug riêng — iPhone cable, Android cable, laptop cable, printer cable... ngăn kéo bạn đầy cables khác nhau.

USB-C: 1 standard, mọi device.

MCP làm điều tương tự cho AI-tool integration:

• Trước MCP: Mỗi AI provider có custom API/SDK với mỗi tool. Fragmented, slow innovation.
• Với MCP: Open standard. Bất kỳ developer nào có thể build MCP server cho tool bất kỳ. Các MCP servers work seamless với Claude (và AI khác supporting MCP).

MCP là open standard

Anthropic open-source MCP và maintain nó như một standard industry có thể adopt. Không phải proprietary lock-in — developers + vendors khác có thể implement.

Cloud services và applications. Work với cả web và desktop Claude.

Anthropic maintain curated directory: claude.ai/directory.

Organized thành:

• Web tab — cloud services
• Desktop extensions tab — local tools

Bạn cũng có thể access từ chat: click "Search and tools" (góc dưới-trái) → "Add connectors".

Setup Web Connector — 5 bước

Bước 1: Find connector

claude.ai/directory hoặc chat → "Search and tools" → "Add connectors"

Bước 2: Click Connect

Select connector muốn add.

Bước 3: Authenticate

Redirect tới service's login page. Sign in với existing credentials.

Claude không lưu password. Authentication qua OAuth (standard, secure).

Bước 4: Grant permissions

Review specific permissions Claude request. Ví dụ Google Drive:

• Read file contents
• Search Drive
• (optionally) Create new docs
• (optionally) Edit existing docs

Grant chỉ những cái cần. Có thể toggle later từ menu của connector.

Bước 5: Test connection

Quay về Claude. Thử simple request:

Setup Desktop Extension — 4 bước

Bước 1: Download + install Claude Desktop app

Dùng Connectors trong công việc

Khi connectors on, Claude consider chúng khi responding. Bạn có thể:

• Let Claude decide — Claude judge khi nào dùng connector dựa prompt
• Instruct explicit — "Use Google Drive to find...", "Pull from my Slack..."

Read:

Security và permissions — Important

Kết nối Claude với external services = grant read (và sometimes modify) access. 4 principles quan trọng.

1. Scoped access

Permissions specific cho what connector needs. Không blanket access.

Ví dụ Gmail connector:

• Modify labels — toggle
• Delete — usually off by default

Grant minimum needed. Can expand later.

2. Claude sees what you see

Claude chỉ có thể access data bạn đã có permission access.

Connect work Gmail → Claude access your inbox, NOT CEO's inbox. Connect Salesforce → Claude sees records bạn permissioned to, NOT other reps' data.

Implication: Security boundary của bạn = security boundary của Claude.

3. Revocable at any time

Disconnect service bất cứ lúc nào:

• Trong Claude settings (preferred — clean disconnect)
• Trong third-party service's security settings (nếu you want emergency revoke)

4. Custom connectors — Review code nếu untrusted

Như Skills, bạn có thể build custom connectors hoặc install từ third parties.

Rules:

• Trusted sources only (your organization, verified developers, official Anthropic)
• Review code trước khi install third-party
• Start với minimal permissions
• Audit access logs periodically

Edge case: Business data + personal Claude account
